Ribbon Cuttings, All-State Singers, and a Busy November

📝 Producer’s Notes Acronyms expanded by Claude (not defined in source, please verify): LTEF as Lawrence Township Education Foundation; NJEA as New Jersey Education Association; PTO as Parent Teacher Organization; ESL as English as a Second Language; LES as Lawrenceville Elementary School; SWS as Slackwood (the source names Slackwood Elementary School elsewhere). FVHD Architects is a firm name with no expansion in the source, so it’s scripted as letters (“F V H D”). Details pulled from flyer images rather than body text: Trunk or Treat date, time, and address; Craft Fair cafeteria location and address; math workshop location and 7 p.m. end time; Handbag Bingo price ($40) and 6 p.m. start; bike ride address and contact info. Time-sensitive items: The LMS Halloween Dance (Oct 29), Halloween parades (Oct 30), Spiritwear deadline (Oct 31), bike ride (Oct 31), and Trunk or Treat (Oct 31) may have passed depending on release date. The source said the dance was “tonight”; the script uses the specific date instead. Link-only items: The ribbon-cutting video, math workshop registration, Dolly Parton tickets, and Handbag Bingo tickets have no URLs in the PDF. The script directs listeners to the newsletter. LTPS-TV had no body text and was omitted from the script. Missing details: The November 18 Board of Education meeting has no time or location listed. The Dolly Parton event lists no ticket price. Presenter: The Dolly Parton flyer shows “Lumos” branding; it isn’t named in the body text, so it’s left out of the script. Content omissions: None. All content was family-friendly and community-related. 🎃 Seasonal Notes October is Italian American Heritage and Culture Month and Bullying Prevention Month. Have a safe and happy Halloween! 📅 Important Dates DateEventTue, Nov 3 | Election Day Thu–Fri, Nov 5–6 | NJEA Convention, schools closed Wed, Nov 18 | Board of Education Meeting 🎭 Lawrence Middle School Auditorium Ribbon Cutting Lawrence Middle School celebrated its renovated auditorium on October 19, the first completed project from the $98 million bond referendum approved in March 2025. The event coincided with LMS’s 75th anniversary. 🍂 Fall Fun Across the District Ben Franklin’s Cardinal Kids enjoyed a Pumpkin Patch experience. Halloweek, Heroes, and High Notes at Lawrence High

📝 Producer's Notes Length: The script runs about 1,850 words (roughly 12 to 14 minutes), above the 10-minute target. This edition is unusually dense. To trim, the easiest cuts are the Just for Fun segment, the Title I paragraph, and the Booster Club / Terhune combined paragraph. Same-day items (October 27): The Cardinal Clean-Up, senior class picture, and conference portal opening all fall on the newsletter date. The script refers to them as "today." The Vo-tech photo email deadline (10 a.m. Tuesday) has likely passed by publication and is framed in past tense. Date typo in source: The newsletter lists "November 24, 2025" for the second conference day. The November rotation calendar shows teacher conferences on November 24, 2026, so the script uses 2026. Calendar-sourced details: Student early dismissal on conference days (Nov 23 and 24) and early dismissal on Nov 25 come from the newsletter's November rotation calendar, not the article text. Acronyms expanded by Claude (not defined in source): LTEF = Lawrence Township Education Foundation; NJEA = New Jersey Education Association; MCCC = Mercer County Community College; PTO = Parent Teacher Organization; LMS = Lawrence Middle School. Please verify. "RCBC" is defined in the source as "Rowan College Burlington County"; the script uses the college's formal name, "Rowan College at Burlington County." "Tri-M": Read as a name and not expanded. ElevenLabs should say "Tri M"; check pronunciation. Pronunciation check: "yuputka" (yoo-PUHT-kuh), "Godovanyy," and "Lonzson." Missing details: Handbag Bingo (Nov 13) and Fedelo's (Oct 28) have no time listed in the source; Fedelo's also has no location. Omitted from the audio script: Specific horror movie titles from the poll (left out for family listeners), the Words to Live By quote image, the bell schedule, the rotation calendars, two of the three Word Power entries, the Club Hub flyers, and the Important Links list. Link-only items are preserved below. Links: Hyperlinks were not extractable from the PDF. "Click here" links are listed by name only; add URLs before publishing if desired. 🎃 This Week at LHS Halloweek Spirit Days (Oct 26 to 30): Earn class points. "Mr. Billy" is an LHS alumnus (class of 1972), on the LHS Wall of Honor (2000), a retired Lawrence Township Police Department detective and Officer of the Year (2011), an LHS Black History Month Trailblazer honoree (2022), and an LHS Athletic Hall of Fame member (class of 2024). Karina Godovanyy (junior) and Isaiah Walker-Underwood (senior) are nominees for the New Jersey Governor's Award in Vocal Music, each earning one of the two highest audition scores in their voice parts for the 2026-2027 NJ All-State Chorus. LHS also had a record 11 students accepted into All-State Chorus, five of whom placed in the top 10 statewide. Congratulations to choral director Ms. Mandy St. Pierre-Johnson and the music department. Wade Bullard (junior) collected 19,220 books for BookSmiles as an Eagle Scout project. Donate via the upcoming bin in the LHS front vestibule or at the Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville. Recap: Laps for a Cause raised $9,127 for breast cancer research. Halloween Season in Lawrence: Trunk or Treat, Trail and Treat, and More

🎙️ Producer’s Notes Script correction needed. In the Quick News segment, I scripted the Girls on the Run season as running “September twenty fourth through November sixth.” The source says it runs September 24 through November 16. Please change “November sixth” to “November sixteenth” before rendering in ElevenLabs. Length. The script is longer than the 3 to 10 minute target, probably around 14 minutes. I said it was near ten minutes, and that was too optimistic. I can cut it down if you’d like. Time-sensitive items (episode is dated October 15, 2026). These may have passed by publication: Municipal offices closed Monday, October 12, and the October 12 to 14 committee meetings (in the script only as background; the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee meeting on October 15 was included). Halloween House Decorating Contest registration closes today, October 15, at noon. It is in the script and may be closed before listeners hear it. Lawrence Historical Society lecture is tonight, October 15, at 7:00 p.m. Tri-M Coffee House and The Dog Spot fundraiser are October 16. The LTEEF Sound Bath is also October 16. Passed and not scripted: LHS PTO meeting (Oct 13), early dismissal (Oct 14), powderpuff forms deadline (Oct 14), Trail Clean Up (Oct 10), and Mobile Food Pantry dates of Oct 5 and 12. Discrepancies. The Township address appears as both “2207 Lawrence Road” and “2207 Lawrenceville Road” in the source. I followed the body text: Lawrence Road. News from the Nest lists the second conference day as “November 24, 2025.” I treated it as a typo for 2026. The sewer bill item says bills were mailed the week of September 14. I left that out as stale and kept only the October 26 due date. Acronyms expanded by Claude (please verify). PDS expanded to Princeton Day School. PSAT expanded to Preliminary SAT. FAFSA expanded to Free Application for Federal Student Aid. CSS Profile expanded to College Scholarship Service Profile. LMS/LHS PTO expanded to Lawrence Middle School and Lawrence High School Parent Teacher Organization. NJEA expanded to New Jersey Education Association. STEM expanded to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Ptl. expanded to Patrolman. Tri-M was left as “Tri M” because the source does not expand it. Omitted from the script for content. “NJ is Here to Help” (988 crisis line) is not suited to a family audience. It is listed below with the other omitted items. Omitted for space or because they are link-only. These are preserved in the notes below so no information is lost. Quick News source. The file was a partial Gmail screenshot, and the date comes from the file name. The Brew a Potion Day end time and street address were cut off. The Healthy Kids Running Series dates and prices appear only in the flyer image, so they are included below as image-sourced. 🏛️ Segment 1: Latest in Lawrence (October 8, 2026) 📬 Municipal Address Change The Township is discontinuing P.O. Homecoming, Community Day, and Thanks to Our Custodians

📝 Producer's Notes Time-sensitive: Homecoming Football Game (Oct 2), Homecoming Dance and Community Day (Oct 3), and Custodian Appreciation Day (Oct 2) may have passed by publication. The thrift sale's Sept 26 date has already passed, so the script covers only Oct 10. The Young Rembrandts early-bird discount ended 10/1 and was omitted. Duplicate source: the PDF held two identical copies of the email. Missing details: the newsletter gives no time or location for the Homecoming Football Game or the Board of Education meeting. Discrepancy: the Volunteers Needed flyer says "Spring Arts Festival" on Oct 9th and 10th, while the body text says Fall Arts Festival with no dates. The script uses the flyer dates. Expanded acronyms: LTEF (Lawrence Township Education Foundation), PCDI (Princeton Child Development Institute), USATF-NJ (USA Track and Field New Jersey), LCSW dropped in favor of "licensed mental health professional." These expansions are not in the source, so please verify LTEF and PCDI. Flyer-sourced details: Community Day activities, Meadows Miler date and location, Young Rembrandts schedule, price, and location, and the Dolly Parton event time details come from the flyers. Omitted for family-friendliness: the beer garden listed on the Community Day flyer. Link-only items: Mercer County Cotillion ("See flyer for more information") is omitted from the script and listed below. Spirit Week, Homecoming, and a Bronze Star: This Week at Lawrence High

📝 Producer's Notes Omitted from audio (preserved here): The Club Hub section (Fellowship in Christ, Students Helping Honduras, STEM Society, Green Action Team, Theater Company, DECA, Debate Club, Tangents, Peer Buddies, Lawrencian, Math League, Driver's Education Club, Teen PEP, and Knitting and Crochet Club) consisted of flyer images with no descriptive body text, so it was left out of the narrated script per our link-only convention. Omitted from audio (preserved here): The Daily Bell Schedule and the October rotation calendar were image-based tables not suited to narration. Omitted from audio (preserved here): "In Case You Missed It" (newsletter archives), "District News" (LTPS Quick News), and the full "Stay Connected" contact block (address, phone, and social media handles) were boilerplate or link-only items. Summarized: LTC Steve Austin's Bronze Star Medal citation was condensed for the audio script due to its length and dense formal language. Full citation text is below. Grants, Meetings, Taxes, Tours, and a Blood Drive: This Week in Lawrence

Producer's Notes: Sourced directly from the newsletter link (no PDF needed) — this ActiveCampaign link fetched cleanly. Omitted from the script (link-only or header-only, no body text): "Schedule for Safety," "Mobile Food Pantry," LTPD LinkedIn, Operation Blue Angel, the general social media follow buttons, and the Township Quick Links list. All are preserved below for reference. The I-295 ramp closure item states it began "beginning June 4th," but appears in this August 13th newsletter with no updated end date — flagging this discrepancy in case it's stale content carried over from an earlier issue. Ramp Closures, Brush Piles, and Blood Drives: Your Lawrence Township Update

📝 Producer's Notes The "Mobile Food Pantry" section header in the source newsletter had no accompanying body text; the content beneath it was actually the coyote safety alert. Mobile Food Pantry was omitted from the script; flagging in case a follow-up with the township is needed to recover that content. The I-295 ramp closure is described as beginning June 4th and running through August, meaning it predates this newsletter's July 30th date. Included in the script as an ongoing/current closure since August is still ahead. National Night Out Is Coming: Your Lawrence Township Weekly Roundup

📋 Producer's Notes The ramp closure item (Interstate 295 southbound Exit 69B to Route 206) lists a start date of June 4th, which predates this issue's July 23rd publication. It appears unchanged/recurring content from the source newsletter. Included as published; recommend verifying current status before airing if closure has since resolved. The Mobile Food Pantry item lists four Monday dates (July 6, 13, 20, 27); the first three had already passed as of this newsletter's July 23rd date. Only July 27th is noted as upcoming in the script. The Police Department's community partnership item originally read "Yesterday" with no absolute date given. The script substitutes "recently" for clarity, since the newsletter provides no specific date. Several general/boilerplate resource links (Mercer County Food Finder, NJ Disability Information Hub, Mercer County Cooling Centers, MCLS Community Events, full ERMA eligibility criteria) were condensed into brief mentions in the audio script to preserve runtime. Full details are preserved below. The Spring & Summer Recreation Programs promo and the food safety infographic contained no newsletter-specific dates or new details beyond general encouragement/tips, so they were summarized briefly rather than read in full. 🏘️ Township Announcements ItemDateDetailsBulk Waste Collection | Friday, July 31 | Three items max, 50 lbs. each; call Public Works to schedule I-295 Ramp Closure | Beginning June 4, through August | Exit 69B to Route 206 southbound closed for noise barrier project Mailing Address Update | Ongoing | P.O.
