Speaker 1:

This is The Brief on Lawrence Township's January 2026 updates. Okay, so we're looking at the latest in Lawrence newsletter, which is basically your cheat sheet for the new year. It's got everything from public health updates to community events and some really critical registration deadlines. First up, for all you pet owners, there's a free drive thru rabies clinic on Saturday, January 17. Now, this is important, you have to pre register online and that registration closes for good on Monday, January 12 at 5PM.

Mark that down. You can also pick up free at home COVID-nineteen test kits from the health department while they last. Second, if you're looking to get active, the Lawrence Senior Center is rolling out some new classes. There's a hula hoop exercise class starting January 7 and a super beginner friendly Zumba class that starts on January 26. Or, if history's more your speed, you can catch the sixty fourth annual Colonel Edward Hand Reenactment March on Saturday, January 10.

And finally, a heads up on a couple of things. The tax collector's office is bringing back online payments at the start of the year, and for all the parents out there, registration is now open for spring Little League Baseball and Softball, plus free T ball. Just make sure you sign up by the deadline which is February 15. With important events, new fitness classes, and these registration deadlines on the calendar, Lawrence Township is definitely gearing up for a busy start to 2026.
